In working on the quandry of what to do with all of the leftover sock yarn in my attic stash, the solution came in the form of baby socks. They are small and whip up really fast and look adorable. I knit this pair this afternoon. Each sock weighs 8 grams. I still have 26 grams left in the skein. That means that I can get another pair and it won't matter if they don't match because they are hand knitted. They did come out matching with no effort at all. They will be winging their way in the post to a set of twins so I really do need to keep on knitting. The yarn is 'trekking' stretch, it's washable and will keep those little tootsies warm as the fall approaches. Babies always need to keep their feet warm.
