Easter gang

Three meetings all in one day made for some knitting strategy. Not another sock but something really easy and fun. This little easter gang fit the bill perfectly. Casting on 30 stitches and knitting for 27 rows makes a rectangle. Sew that into a tube. Turn right side too and gather both ends. Now it's a hot dog. Push one end into the other and you've got a body. Knit two ears and a tail, insert a 'cadbury egg' and you've got one of the cutest easter table decorations ever.

They don't use a lot of yarn, knit up quick, are cute and ... they lay an egg when you squeeze them. So far I've knit 1 pink mouse, 1 yellow chick, 1 brown bunny, 1 pink bunny and 2 white bunnies. 6 total. The trouble is I only have one 'cadbury egg' for fitting. I'll have to put the other eggs on my shopping list.

You can get this free pattern from www.jeangreenhowe.com Highly recommended. You too can have your own herd of bunnies for easter.
